I occasionally move my files/images onto different servers to make the best use of space and bandwidth. If necessary, "Refresh" or "Reload" the pages to get the latest versions of the pages, otherwise you're liable to see an old copy stored in your browser's temporary file cache. This should fix any problems you have seeing my photos and images.
I hope to keep adding something interesting every so often, and the big archive and gallery projects will keep me occupied for a long while. How I wish the web as we know and love it today had been around back in 1989 when this picture of me was taken . . . I was honing my computer skills as general office-boy and treasurer, dealing with memberships and publicity design/production, at the Organisation for Lesbian and Gay Action which was one of the premier UK gay rights pressure groups at the time.
Many readers will be aware of the way I was targetted in a vile personal vendetta by the despicable
yet extremely sad individual Ian Keith Gomeche (for more information on him, please see
www.gomechewatch.com or try a simple Google search on
his name !). With a number of other innocent people who dared to stand up this malicious troll,
I was libellously smeared as a pedophile, and to spread those lies he used the platform of Redwatch,
a front organisation for Combat 18, a UK neo-Nazi group connected with the National Front, writing
in webpages that pretended to be an organisation "exposing" pedophiles and on neo-Nazi
forums under the name "Noncewatch". (I will not distinguish Redwatch with a URL link).
It should be quite obvious to anyone with half a braincell from the information on this site that I am interested in consenting activity ONLY with other adults ! In particular, the fact that I dared to have a serious and honest discussion with my friend Alfie which touched on the subject of pedophilia, despite it containing a number of strong and quite unequivocal statements from BOTH of us to the effect that we ABHOR pedophilia, the idea of "boy-love" and child abuse of any sort, was wilfully misrepresented and the discussion itself maliciously misread by Gomeche. I won't apologise for having that or any other discussion I wish on this site on ANY subject in the name of journalism. After all, writing about sex with women wouldn't make me straight !!!!!
What makes me laugh about all this is that we all know that pedophiles DON'T like publicity,
because it tends to bring the police round kinda sharpish. You'd therefore have to be a very
stupid person indeed to write a website about yourself "proving" that you were a
pedophile with your own pictures so that goons like Gomeche could hassle you ! Instead,
pedophiles tend (naturally) to be a little more secretive and
No-one in their right minds, and certainly not any serious journalist or sensible police authority, could mistake this site for one which promotes physical child abuse, sex with children or pedophilia of any form. I do NOT even promote here the idea of discipline of children by parents, as I am actually quite undecided on the issue of whether it is a good or bad thing. I note both sides of the argument, and would happily give equal space to the views of those who found it traumatic and abusive as to those who in retrospect found it was given fairly by loving, caring parents and was helpful to them in their personal development. I do believe there is NO single right answer for ALL children in ALL circumstances, whatever society may wish to legislate for the small minority of children who do need protection from genuine abuse by their own parents.
(And I would note in passing that, whatever the media and the self-appointed watchdogs of public safety would like people to believe, the actual statistics are stark and incontrovertibly clear: children are FAR more at risk in general from friends and members of their own family than from strangers. Even "The Sun", usually the most reactionary UK newspaper and well in tune with more right-wing public opinion, felt obliged to point out on 21st August 2002, in the wake of the public outrage here at the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, that UK Home Office figures showed that over the previous 12 months only 28% of the 818 murder victims of ALL ages were killed by strangers ! As well as giving the information that between 85% and 90% of child murders were by family members, with total strangers responsible for only one or two a year, they quoted an NSPCC spokesman who commented: "[the figure for the number of children abducted and killed by a stranger] is almost certainly tiny. We carried out a survey of newspaper reports of children who were killed or died in suspicious circumstances in the 12 months following Sarah Payne's murder in July 2000. We found that of 128 reported cases, not one was of a child abducted and killed by a stranger.")
My unfortunate involvement with Gomeche began with his campaign against Colin Farrell's Corpun website because it contained a simple link to a page in the website of his old school, where old boys had posted some reminiscences of CP there, which for some reason he felt was unacceptable and something he felt he had a right to complain about. That's the same corpun.com which just a few months before Gomeche had mailed with his OWN story of being slippered at his old school, Wymondham College near Norwich. Yes, the hypocrite suddenly decided that writing/reading such stories wasn't a bit of a laugh for public consumption after all, but was the height of perversion that should be rooted out wherever it could be found on the web, starting with all Colin's friends and colleagues. I guess he never heard the old proverb about throwing stones when living in glass houses !
Thanks to patience, solidarity, good friends and a change of heart by Gomeche's local police force who were finally unable to ignore the massive weight of evidence against him and took the many complaints of his criminal Internet and telephone abuse seriously, he has at last been prosecuted after a long period of time spent Sectioned to ascertain the exact degree of the mental condition which allowed him to become such a sad, malicious individual. It appears that his reign of terror is over under threat of immediate arrest if he re-offends, for which many people worldwide are extremely grateful. Actually, I do feel some pity for Gomeche, despite his unwarranted and obscene attacks on my friends and I, but while we are happy that there is a positive legal outcome (if only one which effectively prevents further abuse) we are mostly glad that this distressing time is over and we can get on with our lives unharrassed.
