It is No. 153 from Bartók's huge piano opus "Mikrokosmos" in a superb MIDI version by the talented transcriber David Siu.
I'm looking for good friendships and relationships with interesting people. I seem to have a good
rapport with young people,
I have good computer, numeracy, literacy and design skills (see
Can I Help You ?) and I used to be a professional violinist, although my
current career is not quite as artistically or emotionally rewarding ! I work nights at present
as a minicab driver in London in the UK (here is a great poem I found about doing this,
but not by me !) and I live 15 minutes walk from East Croydon station in Surrey.

As far as my classical musical interests go, I especially enjoy 20th Century European orchestral
music, and particularly Central/Eastern European, i.e. the music of Béla Bartók,
Zoltán Kodály, Vítesjlav Novák, Karol Szymanowski, Dmitri Shostakovitch,
Igor Stravinsky, Gustav Mahler and early Arnold Schoenberg. I also enjoy the ethnic gypsy and traditional
music of Central Europe. Here are just a few links to some interesting classical musical sites:

Lots of downloadable MIDI files can be found at the
Classical MIDI Archives and
Classical MIDI Resource sites,
but don't forget that they are very pale imitations of the real thing - SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
MUSIC-MAKING BY HEARING REAL MUSIC MADE LIVE IN CONCERT (preferably) or visit an online store for
good recordings like
Amazon.com.
However, here are some absolutely excellent MIDI files to download of some of my most favourite composers
and pieces of music:
Finale from Concerto for Orchestra
Jeux des Vagues from "La Mer"
Rhapsody in Blue (composer's original solo version)
Engelkonzert (1st movement) from "Mathis der Maler"
Neptune, the Mystic from "The Planets" Suite
Dances of Galanta
Petrouchka (3 movements transcribed for piano by the composer)
Cadenza and Burlesque (4th movement) from 1st Violin Concerto
This and much other "modern" Russian violin repertoire (by Prokofiev/Khatchaturian etc.) was
dedicated to and written for my favourite violinist, David Fedorovich Oistrakh (1908-1974) - there
is relatively little on the web about him, but for the violin connoisseur he was one of the last century's
greatest instrumentalists and cultural ambassadors. I strongly recommend any and all of
Oistrakh's recordings that you may find, especially of Twentieth Century Russian music - please
search them out and enjoy !
You are also at liberty to identify with my (limited) leisure-time interest in any of the following:
cult TV in a fantasy genre, especially Dr Who, The Avengers and Angel/Buffy The Vampire Slayer;
films by Woody Allen, Monty Python, Terry Gilliam, Sergio Leone and Akira Kurosawa;
classic jazz and 70's British Rock (especially Pink Floyd, The Bonzo Dog
To read about my formative years and some of my past CP encounters go to the page on my
thoughts and experiences, which will give you a very good idea of what I've done, what I've found
that I like and where I've occasionally gone wrong and how I think and react. I'm looking to meet or
chat with other sane,
I'm a switch personality - mostly I want to be dominant with someone younger but I also enjoy being
submissive with the right partner (same age or older ?). My main interest is light to medium CP
(spanking and cane/paddle/strap/tawse), possibly enhanced with some light to medium bondage (wrist and
ankle cuffs or ropes) and mild SM (eg. nipple torture). I respect others' limits absolutely but I am
happy to expand them with trust and consent. I do have a good pain threshold, though, and I anticipate
that in an ongoing sub relationship I would probably want to stretch my own limits to quite hard CP.
Leather master/slave, teacher/pupil, father/son or other roleplaying is NOT really my thing, and the
same applies to serious
I'm definitely NOT interested in
I expect that any meeting would be for
